Charles Ogbuchukwu Okeke, is a lecturer in the Department of Religion and Cultural Studies, NwaforOrizu College of Education, Nsugbe, Anambra State. He is a Fellow of Strategic Institute for National Resources and Human Development. He holds a Dip in Italian language, from Centro Studi Cassia, Gregorian University, Rome; Dip in French language, from institute Catholique de Paris, France; B. Phil (Bachelor of Philosophy) and B. D (Bachelor of Divinity/Theology) from Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum), Rome; PGDE, from Usman Danfodiyo University, Sokoto; M.A (Religion and Human Relations, specializing in African Traditional Religion) and Ph.D. (African Traditional Religion) from NnamdiAzikiwe University, Awka. He belongs to the Religious Congregation of the Brothers of St. Stephen, Catholic Archdiocese of Onitsha. He is a member of National Association for Religious Scholars,  Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria, Boys Scout, and Red Cross of Nigeria. He holds an award on Human Development, from Strategic Institute for National Resources and Human Development, Henry Dunant award from the Nigerian Red Cross, Ambassadorial award fromIfeadigo Age Grade, Eziowelle, Idemili North Local Government, Anambra State.

Dr. Charles Okeke – simply called The Wise Man – by his students, is a teacher par excellence, an accomplished religious scholar, and a post-doctoral researcher in religious studies. He is also an accomplished writer. Among his publications are, The Christian Doctrine and Belief, Philosophy of Religion: An Introduction and Interpretation, The Phenomenology of Sacred Trees in Traditional Igbo Society: A Theological Dialogue, and The Dynamics of Igbo Traditional Prayers in the Central Subcultural Zone of Igboland. He has also published more than thirty (30) articles in different local and international journals on religion, multidisciplinary journals and book chapters. He co-founded a professional intellectual/academic body, namely, Igbo scholars Forum – an academic forum open for the Igbo sons and daughters whose objective is to showcase the intellectual prowess of the Igbo nation.
